Committees
The Oregon Telecommunications Association hosts a number of industry related committees covering a wide array of disciplines providing a forum for discussing issues of mutual concern.

Accounting Committee
To identify and analyze changes or requirements in the industry that affect the accounting functions, and to provide information to member companies in response to such developments.
Annual Meeting Committee
To plan and outline the theme, program, and special events for the annual meeting.
Associate Member Committee
To coordinate and support associate member involvement in OTA activities.
Central Office & Information Technologies Seminar
To identify, monitor and analyze the issues and needs of the industry in the area of central office maintenance and design and information technologies. To provide an avenue for updating member company personnel on technical and engineering issues, and provide support for member companies present and future needs.
Consumer Services & Marketing Committee
To identify, monitor and analyze the issues and needs of the industry in the area of consumer services, current and future customer needs and desires, and the effective marketing of telecommunications services. To provide for a broad range of training and professional development opportunities for member company personnel in these disciplines.
Emergency Preparedness and Network Security Committee
To assist member telecommunication providers in developing a coordinated response between other utilities, emergency management agencies, and law enforcement agencies.
Legislative Committee
To solicit, identify, monitor and analyze legislative issues impacting the industry and to recommend appropriate legislative strategies for Board consideration.
Outside Plant Committee
To identify, monitor and analyze the issues and needs of the industry in the area of outside plant maintenence and design; provide an avenue for updating member company personnel on changes in operations, engineering and technology.
Recognition Committee
To develop a program of member recognition for their contribution to the Association and/or the industry.
Regulatory & Industry Relations Committee
To solicit, identify, monitor and analyze change or additions to the regulatory environment affecting member companies and to develope and recommend appropriate strategies for Board consideration.
Safety Committee
To solicit, identify, monitor and analyze the issues and needs of the industry in the area of employee safety and to provide an avenue for updating member company personnel on an ongoing basis. This committee also works jointly with the Washington Independent Telephone Association (WITA) in providing an annual safety training seminar.
Small Company Committee
To provide a forum for the small company members with less than 50,000 access lines to discuss issues and to represent their interests in the activities of the Association.
ITA Showcase
To plan and sponsor an annual exhibition of Associate Member products and services in cooperation with Washington Independent Telephone Association (WITA).
OTA Scholarship Board of Directors
The Oregon Telecommunications Association Scholarship Foundation was established to offer scholarships to employees and immediate families of OTA members to further their education in colleges, universities and trade schools.
